What PC do you need to run FiveM on GTA 5 Enhanced? Minimum and recommended specs, plus the things that really matter (RAM, SSD, ray tracing).
FiveM now runs on GTA 5 Enhanced, the next-gen PC version of GTA V. Because FiveM uses the base game, your PC must first run GTA 5 Enhanced — then absorb the extra load of modded multiplayer. Here’s what you need, without overselling.
GTA 5 Enhanced requirements
FiveM Enhanced builds on GTA 5 Enhanced, so start by aiming at least for the game’s specs.

What FiveM adds on top
Modded multiplayer asks a bit more than single-player. The things that really make a difference:
- An SSD, practically mandatory. FiveM downloads and streams each server’s resources (vehicles, maps, scripts). On a mechanical hard drive, load times and pop-in become painful. An SSD (ideally NVMe) changes everything — especially since Enhanced leverages DirectStorage.
- 16 GB of RAM as a healthy baseline. 8 GB is enough to launch, but a busy server with lots of custom assets fills it fast. 16 GB is the comfortable minimum, 32 GB for large, heavy roleplay servers.
- The CPU matters on populated servers. The more players and synced entities around you, the harder the processor works. A recent 6-core (modern Ryzen 5 / Core i5) handles the load.
- Free disk space. FiveM keeps a cache per server; plan for several dozen GB if you hop between many servers.
What about a car-chase server like Chased?
Good news: a competitive pursuit server is far lighter than a big roleplay server. Matches run in an isolated arena, with few players, without the crowd of assets and NPCs of a full RP city. The recommended spec above is plenty, and a near-minimum machine copes by lowering the graphics options.
What matters most is smoothness: on a driving-and-reflexes game, aim for a stable framerate (enable upscaling if needed) rather than maxing out ray tracing.
